Al Mahrah Local Secretary inaugurates free medical oncology camp at Al Ghaydah Hospital

The Secretary-General of the Local Council in Al Mahrah Governorate, Mr. Salem Abdullah Nimer, inaugurated today, along with the Director-General of the Public Health and Population Office, Dr. Awad Mubarak Saad, and the Executive Director of the Hadhramaut Foundation for Cancer Control, Dr. Walid Abdullah Al-Batati, the free medical oncology camp at Al Ghaydah Central Hospital, with the support of the local authority in the governorate, and the implementation of the Hadhramaut Foundation for Cancer Control, in coordination with the National Center for Oncology Treatment in the Hadhramaut Coast.

The camp, which is held under the patronage of the Governor of Al Mahrah Governorate and the Minister of Health and Population,
includes three clinics for internal oncology, blood tumors, and tumor surgery, and includes specialized medical cadres.

At the inauguration event, the Secretary-General of the Local Council praised the role of the Hadhramaut Foundation and its interventions in the governorate, expressing his thanks to the foundation for holding this free camp and establishing the chemotherapy unit and its follow-up with the Ministry of Health by issuing a decision to establish the National Center for Oncology Treatment in the governorate.. hoping to implement more of these camps due to the urgent need for them in the governorate.

Nimer pointed out that the establishment of the camp coincides with the issuance of a ministerial decision to establish the National Center for Oncology in Al Mahrah Governorate.

In turn, the Executive Director of Hadramout Foundation for Cancer Control, Dr. Walid Abdullah Al-Batati, expressed his thanks to the local authority for sponsoring the camp and providing the necessary facilities, and to the Health Office and Al-Ghaydah Hospital administrations for their efforts, noting that the camp saves citizens the trouble of traveling to Hadramout and the associated costs.
