The establishment of the National Center for Oncology Treatment in Hadramout

The Hadramout Oncology Center began its journey in 2010 as the nucleus of a future cancer research and treatment center and as a center for chemotherapy based on the methodology of evidence-based medicine in cancer treatment to become a service center for patients and training for university students and health institutes.

Our vision is to transform the center into a leading institution in the treatment of cancer diseases, training and scientific research that constitutes the main pillar for improving health care in the region and beyond.

The mission of the Hadramout Oncology Center

Providing high-quality health care for cancer patients in the Hadramout axis in particular, using the latest scientific knowledge in addition to providing education, training, public awareness and research to reduce deaths resulting from cancer and alleviate the suffering of those infected with it by adhering to the highest levels of quality and professional ethics.

Transformation into a comprehensive integrated center for cancer treatment and research

                                                                                                    National Oncology Center - Hadramout Coast

Geographical location and area: The National Oncology Center is located in Al-Mukalla District, the capital of Hadhramaut Governorate, within the campus of Ibn Sina Hospital Authority, and its area is about 80 square meters.

Infrastructure and departments: The center impresses you with its cleanliness and good coordination, as it contains two departments: a department for men and a department for women, each of which has 10 beds (total 20 beds) for chemotherapy, equipped with all amenities such as air conditioners and flat screens, in addition to a pharmacy and a preparation room containing a preparation cabin for chemotherapy drugs, in addition to an oncology consultant clinic, a psychological and social clinic, as well as public interests. The center's expansion project was approved by adding ten new rooms to the center, and the project is nearing completion.

Number of new cases registered monthly: 60 to 90 cases from various axes of Hadhramaut, Shabwa, Al Mahrah and Socotra, as well as many patients from all over the Republic and the Horn of Africa, in addition to displaced persons from all governorates. Everyone who knocks on the door of the center, the institution does not skimp on him and provides him with treatment and all services for free.
